I was printing a large dragon. It was a 9.5 hour job. I’d check on it every hour or so. The last time I checked, over half was done. The head was moving as if it were printing but it was about 3/4 of an inch Above the half that was already printed! It didn’t appear as if it was extruding. I couldn’t get it to resume properly so I abandoned the print. I then started another print of something different using the same filament. No problem with that. What could have caused this? Was it possibly an error in the slicing? Thats all I can think of. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Thanks in advance. Any ideas are appreciated. Was there a way I could have got it to resume properly ?

Lubricate the filament with avocado oil.
