I just painted a part I printed the other day and noticed gaps in my top layers. I have calibrated my extruder. I'm using Simplify3d. Really strange I have not noticed this on any other parts.

What extrusion width are you set to?

There is a setting in S3D for extrusion width.

    Is yours in AUTO?

Mark I have another question about the oilers. I have used several different sponges and get the same problem, the sponge hardens up and no longer absorbs anything.

If I let it sit long enough and dry out that happens, but still adding a little oil softens it right back up.
I just used the cheapest sponge I could get.
