unable upgrade Mater Control from v1.2.2

I click on the About, then Download Update. It says 'Retrieving Download info' for 30 minutes. At that, I exit the software.

I checked on MatterHackers, and v1.2.2 is the newest version.

Is there a newer version or the About page mistaken ?

This is a sign from the 3D printing sprites that you should probably just ditch MatterControl and go to Cura or Repetier.

 

Seems to me the simple thing to do would be to download it from the website and run the installer if the in-software update command wasn't working.

 

I looked on their site, the version I downloaded from there is 1.2.2

I do use Cura, but there are bits of Matter Control I like.

 

If you're already at the same version as their site, there is nothing to update.

 

The software insisted... I went back to the site, and v1.2.3 is available. So I downloaded it.
