    Just got the word that my Viki has shipped. Hmmm.... what to connect it to?

    mine shipped also, :)

    it uses I2C connections, a 4 pin plug on the ramps board. pretty easy to install. and supposedly works out of the box with marlin firmware.

    Did you guys back the kickstarter project? I ordered mine right after RoBo funded so hopefully mine will ship soon. It said march when I ordered.

    Viki in hand. Looks great. Would probably look even better attached to a printer, but now I'm just guessing...

    Do you plan on making an external stand for the Viki, or how do you plan on putting/attaching it onto the printer? That is the one thing holding me from buying one...where would I put it?

    Depends on what I do for a heated chamber. This is why I am pushing for Team RoBo to release the CAD of the shell.

    I am thinking maybe design and print a mount that will either Velcro or attach to RoBo by magnets. This way I'm not drilling holes in that nice outer shell.

    I won't decide until I actually receive my RoBo. The included cables are long enough for a variety of options with a minimum of hassle. I do like the idea of printing my own enclosure, though. The Viki comes with a "static warning" so I don't know if magnets are appropriate for mounting, but screw or Velcro could both work. I might even attach it to the printer stand/table when I decide where I want it all to go. My setup is not going to be very portable.

    Just ordered one, going to screw it into a cabinet i am building next week to house my Robo3D! IT is going to be a heat chamber, and I'll put the Viki on the outside!
