I have a strange defect on a print:

The yellow is what the part looks like
The red is the defect, which is right along the seam where there is an angle.

Doesnt match any of the visual troubleshooting guides.

That looks like the layer start or stop. Most slicers have a setting to randomize the layer start positions (which will also randomize the stop position)

ditto. looks like you may need to calibrate your extruder from the corners of that image, that could possibly help with this (if it is calibrated some temp and speed issues possible)

    Ahhhhhhhh never thought of that.
Forgot I set it to optimize after the last job (was a large print with about a 4 hour time difference between optimize and random)

    Thank you!

Running fast with a Volcano at 0.6mm diameter, plus the model has rounded corners.

My next issue to correct is the banding, not caused by the Z axis (did the Marquis Johnson upgrade). It is being caused by that super long volcano and a loose mount (going to print a Mike Kelly carriage for this one too)

Is that a link to the post or to the actual image?

I meant what you used between the forum IMG tags. Google makes it hard to link to anything other than Hangouts, Imgur would rather link from the gallery and is why that screen provides automatically generated links for various forums.

    Try it this way.
    1. Go to your images in Imgur, not albums or gallery
    2. Select the image by clicking on it
    3. Select and copy the link generated under BBCode
    4. Paste it here in a message
