Nice to see so many from here got it, There is that other person that was in the beta test for the filastruder that is getting a RoBo, I don't think they ever came over here, maybe once they get their RoBo they will.

the biggest problem i see with a shredder is purity. The best friends will yield from the best filament, recycled plastic may work ok quicker rough prints but can't imagine itd be very useful for fine prints

I fully recognize your point and for now since I know no better I agree with you but I guess I will find out hopefully my design will even work not eve sure of that yet that is why I am keeping low cost most parts would be printed so I can't eve build it until I get my ROBO

I could afford to do this since it is only design at this point I felt like I was doing something where as I really couldn't justify the filastruder yet.

Makes sense. Just something I had thought of. But recycling prints could be useful, if the grinder could break it apart and back into pellets

The problem with recycling parts is that the plastic will degrade the more times it's melted down. A lot of manufactures won't use recycled plastic for their products. Once you print with plastic for the first times it would of been melted at least 3 times already.

Ok was wondering if anyone got the filastruder yet and is printing or if anyone happens to know what the normal extrusion rate is. I mean are we talking 1" a minute, 1' a minute, 10mm a minute, I amtrying to build my own and was curious as to what to expect.

Can you please list out your sources for the pellets of the differing types ABS and PLA and colorant for PLA. I am pretty sure you can dye ABS natural with normal clothes dye. Seen some interesting techniques. I want to do this very soon
