Wiring Wiring Wiring!

Hello RoBo 3Ders! Busy Busy Busy here at the RoBo Headquarters. We have been wiring like mad men! We noticed some people are seeing pictures we have been uploading on facebook or the forum and some have not, so we decided to upload a bunch of pics here that we have recenty taken . We are uploading more frequently on our facebook page and we want to do weekly roundups here on Kickstarter that way we won’t spam your email with updates and you can look as you please.

A few things to talk about:

Motors are here as shown in the pics and that is what we are wiring and organizing and getting ready for printers. Electronics boards are here and being uploaded with firmware as well.

We talked to Tom at Taulman 3D (which some people have been asking about it in the forums) regarding printing with Nylon and he is sending us some samples to print with here in the next couple of days so we will let you know and big thanks to Tom for helping us out with the supplies!

Bearings and power supplies are on the way, printer cables are in!

We just spoke with our new filament supplier and we are putting in a large order of all different colors of PLA and ABS filament to offer on the website as soon as printers start going out as well as enough ABS and PLA to start everyone off when they receive their printers.

As we are here prepping the wires and motors, this will allow the assembly process time to be reduced dramatically. We have ordered all the components necessary and are just waiting for things to arrive so we can keep completing different parts of the printer until everything is here!

Looks like we are on track to begin sending these out mid to end of April. Again, the injected molded parts are going to be the last thing to arrive. We have been working hard to prep our printer components for a quicker turn around time. We are working very closely with our manufacturers and manufacturing to make sure the quality of parts is consistent and the tooling is being done in a timely manner.

We will keep you posted as more parts come in and give you some videos inside the workshop when full production begins.

We are meeting our filament supplier very soon and putting in an order and discussing prices a different quantities so give us 2 weeks to get all that together and then we will have a better idea. Thanks guys
