So you're getting replacement rods this week???? I just got this email from Robo support:
"Hi Jeff, We are still waiting on the rods, they are on order and we hope to have them soon but we still do not have a date but hopefully not too much longer."

I've been waiting since June with several back and forths with Braydon. How are you getting them this Thursday? I am so close to gutting this thing and using the RPi and LCD on my CR-10!

Return the Unit. Either get your money back or a replacement unit sent.

But I've heard the replacements are the same or worse than the originals. Makes me leery of sending it in and getting more problems.

If your unit needs new rods then it already has to many problems.

Hard to imagine "more problems" if your alternatives list binning it as a primary choice.
But, your printer, your money. Me? I'd hold them to getting me a working one.

Ditto. I dont pay for machines that dont work, and for sure dont use up my warranty period waiting on new parts to finally show up. 6 month is 6 months. Get yourself a working unit so if small things happen you can get your warranty parts.

Yes. Insist on this happening in both a timely fashion and under warranty.

I received my replacement rods from Robo yesterday. Very well packed. These rods are straight. At least one was taken from another machine. It has the grub screw marks on it. But it's straighter than whats in there. I'm glad they gave them to me instead of having to replace the machine again. Way less time consuming than shipping back and forth and playing Russian roulette with shippers.
