Suddenly (As of yesterday) I started getting issues with lots of threads between prints and before with the same material and settings I was getting almost none. What are the kinds of things I should be looking at to diagnose this issue? Its pretty bad to the point its actually making structure diagonally between a square as it moves from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.

Seeing as it suddenly happened, it seems unlikely that its a configuration issue, because I'm printing things I've printed before with filament I've been using with the same settings, I'm thinking the active cooling fan is dying. Would that cause this?

Yes, the fan dying would certainly have an impact on it.

Alright thanks, that confirms what I suspected then, its been conking out here and there already I suspect its full of filament strands haha.

I'll take it apart this afternoon and see if I can clean it up/replace the fan.

They are cheap. Look on amazon for DC 12v fans that size -- 40mm *I think* -- check it to be sure.

Yup, fan was dead, replaced the whole thing, no more stringy bits.

...unsure how to mark this as solved, but it is!

    edit: figured out how.
