Example.. When I print a 1 inch calibration cube, all sides are perfect except for the hight. It is around,
    0.85 " it's supposed to be 1" tall.

Are you on 3.0 firmware. They fixed the z steps per mm on that update

I updated it in matter control but every time I do it says it's the same version, "(ROBO3DR1V2)" unless I'm doing it wrong. Any suggestions?

Does it say upgrade or revert next to it?

You can always load the software manually go to the firmware page on the robo3d website

Hit the update button with your printer connected. It should automatically do it. When it's done it will say the new firmware then have revert next to it. Let me know what it says

Seems strange that it says its updating and doesn't. I guess you will have to load the firmware manually. Do you have a new r1 or the kickstarter one?

Download the firmware from the website and you will have to upload it manually. Not sure how to manually do it from matter control but there is an option for it. I go through the ardiuno software to update and change mine

    Hey! Also checkout: guide.robo3d.com/Wiki/ROBO_3D_Firmware_Release_Notes
We have a hex file for Matter Control for easy updating of the latest firmware release. That should work...but let me know if not!

I had the same exact issue and for the life of me couldn't get Matter Control to update even though I pressed the update button and even tried the change button and upload. Ended up doing it through the Arduino Software - following this thread: http://community.robo3d.com/index.p...ate-and-edit-robo-firmware-with-arduino.5227/
It's a little more work but the instructions from the Inspector General Snogget were easy to follow. Once I updated through the Arduino it picked up the update in Matter Control.

Just out of curiosity what version of windows are you guys running? I'm on 8.1 and I didn't have any issues updating the firmware?
