    Hi gang!

Printing with Hatchbox ABS at 230 and getting really ugly supports in MatterControl here. Here's a photo of the supports. They should be nice clean lines but are horror movie trees instead!

    Support settings:

    Standard 45 degrees
    Pattern Spacing - 3mm
    Infill Angle - 45 degrees
    Interface Layers - 1
    X & Y Distance - 0.7 mm
    Z Gap - 0.22 mm
    Support Everywhere is Yes

Thoughts? It hasn't always done this and I haven't printed anything in PLA that needed support in a while, so not sure if this issue is with the ABS or not.

    Thanks,
    Terry

Robo distributes MatterControl, but does not write it or directly support it.
You should ask this in the MatterControl forum.

As stated before in other threads here -- support material generation and use is rather hit-or-miss in the free slicers.

OK thanks - I will contact them and see what they have to say.
