    Hi all,

So lately I can't get my R1+ with an e3d volcano to print. It will print the skirt and first 5 layers fine, then the printer will make a god awful noise and simplify3d will abort the print due to temp error(temp is reset). The motors and everything will then act as if they don't have enough power (creaking and such), and then 1 min later everything will work fine again.

The strange thing is, the temp hold steady until the creaking noise beings; The creaking noise starts first, then you can see the temperature begin to drop. I was thinking it may be a power supply issue, but I JUST replaced it a week ago, and it has worked fine up until now.

    Any ideas?

You need to scroll the log back further up to get the real error. The Temp Reset is caused by the original error

There should be a way to save the entire log.

    Running another print now.
Will try and pull the USB right as it fails to capture the original error

Also , Is your ramps fan on the bottom working. This sounds like drivers over heating to me.

    DING DING DING! Winner!

The fan was running, but the board was still overheating I think. I rigged a second externally powered fan to cool the board and its printing just fine now!

    Thanks man!!!!

I'm more amazed you were able to know the issue from that little info.
