    Hi Guys,
I'm getting these strange overhangs and indentations on the items i'm printing.
You can see from the pictures i've included that its like the extruder is going to far on some places.
Its also leaving a bend (within a straight) sections.

I'm using PLA at 210 degrees and the bed at 50 degrees.
I'm also using Cura as the slicer.

I'm generally really pleased with what i'm printing but the smaller the print the bigger the imperfections I seem to get.

I have tried to reduce the speed but it doesn't really make much difference.

Do you guys have any ideas that I can try?.

    Many thanks
    TIM

Maybe play with the extrusion multiplier?
    Just a total guess

Check the motors (X and Y) for a loose drive sprocket.
That is too small of an imperfection for a loose belt, but if the setscrew on the drive gear is loose you will get smaller imperfections...at least until it gets loose enough to really spin free.

Possibly try lower Acceleration Settings. And your XY Jerk Value should be roughly 20-30% your print speed. I could see these two settings play a big factor the smaller the print.

Yes, acceleration can be a big factor.
I cranked mine way down with no appreciable loss in overall print speed, but smaller layers/models will take longer since they involve more changes in directions.

I believe I dropped mine to 600mm/sec for both Acceleration and Max Acceleration.

I think mine are 500-ish.I initially set them to 900 and later lowered it again.
The original numbers were silly high.
