Solved Connecting Smart Contoller

I am working on connecting a smart controller to my R1 and I notice that the 8 pin socket on the controller card already has something plugged into it with cables heading toward the USB socket. What happens when I disconnect that? Do I also lose USB connectivity if I want to use the Computer to control the printer.

 

It's for the SD card reader and the new controller has it. Just take a picture and unplug. The USB is part of the arduino and you can still connect to that with the LCD controller plugged in.
