    Hello all,
I am new to the 3d printing world. I have a Robo 3d R1, i have been using matter control for printing.
I originally started with the stock hex head that came with the device, when it worked correctly, the prints were great, everything adhered to the bed while printing and i felt the quality was very high, unfortunately it ended up getting clogged to the point that i could not repair it. I attempted to use another hexagon extruder i purchased from Robo 3d, but it failed as well after awhile so i moved on to the E3d v6 per many of the recommendations i have seen on the forums. Though i have not had any clogs since the E3d, i have run in to a different issue. when printing, it appears the nozzle seems to be running through the extruded filament, there are also times when it sounds like grinding against the print bed. The last calibration circle i printed was pulled completely off of the bed by the extruder.
From what i have read on some of the threads, it sounds like it might be either to much filament being extruded or the z is low.
Does anyone know of instructions for resolving this in Matter Control? Is it common for the E3d V6 to do this even when the hexagon extruder seemed work correctly under the same settings?

    Robo3d R1
    1.75mm PLA Filament
Using hair spray for bed adherence
Matter Control (using all default settings)
    E3d V6 hotend
standard nozzle that came with the hotend

    Thank you

Just curious what instructions did you follow?
Also did you readjust your z-offset when you changed the to the E3d v6?

I used the Novice expert video for installation. Didn't readjust the z offset.

You must readjust your Z offset -- the extrduers are not the same size.
