When I start a new print it is as if the extruder is 1 or 2 mm "to low". The Extruder Tip will dig in to the tape sometimes. After the first pass or two it seems the Tip is high enough and starts printing fine. Any ideas?

Filament type: Red RoBo 3d PLA
Extruding Temp: 210c Have not seen the Temp leave the window of 209.8 and 210.1
Bed Temp: 50c Its window seems to be 49.9 and 50.4
Bed makeup (i.e. what is all on the bed...glass; plexi; tape; hairspray; slurry etc)
    Blue 3M Painters Tape

I will provide a picture as soon as I am able.

Z offset is most likely your problem. What are you using, Matter Control? You need to change your Z offset to raise it up.

Yes, I am using Matter Control. I am attepmting to offset Z by 1mm right now.

I believe this corrected the issue. Going to make a couple prints and see.

Okay, I believe that has helped or resolved the issue of it "digging" in to the tape. I have another issue. On larger, flat, opjects the layering is "breaking up". I am posting pictures IMG_7202.jpeg IMG_7199.jpeg

Thank you much! Think the extruder was to hot. Other weeks helped out as well!
