I have the robo3d plus and the cords leading into the extruder keep catching the large extruder gear. Will this hurt my printer? If so what can I do to fix this problem

Yes it could. I suggest looking if you have more slack on the side of the printer where you can pull some more if you were to replace the zip tie on top. Otherwise, is there anything you can use to zip toe the wire bundle to the left of the grears? Maybe post a pic so I can make sure I can see what you see.

You can also look at printing something like this so that you don't have to mess with the twist tie and help with slack. I recommend the one that screws to the lid instead of the one that goes into the slot. There are others out there as well if you look. I guess I will wait for pics to make too many suggestions. ;)
