Extruder only heats up when I do it in manual mode

    I have made a number of successful prints and then just a couple of days ago the printer stopped working (using Repetier) because when I hit print it says that the extruder is heating up but it's not. I'm very frustrated and have tried everything that I can think of to fix this problem with no luck. What is going on?
