Unanswered got simplify 3d, printing too high off print bed.

i don't know what to do with this darn printer anymore. i bought simplify3d as a last resort because all other softwares (including mattercontrol) are not working. when i first hooked up my printer i was using MC and it said there was a firmware update? could that have something to do with my issue?

 

not likely, did you actually do the update? You have the auto level version?

Software front ends are just that, they won't have much if any impact on how your machine operates other than a few little options.

Did you follow the stickys on "my printer is printing off the bed"?
You may have some issues (wires come off in shipping if they were ever attached) and you have to set your offset etc.
There's a lot of info in the stickys on getting going, and printing above or "under" the bed is very common when first setting up.

If you've done that, give a bit more info and I'm sure we can knock it out easily.
