Fairly simple question really, is running the printer nonstop detrimental to the printer in any way? I may have been overly ambitious and downloaded some 2 gigabytes of files in anticipation of owning a printer.

nope... but I mean.. it's mechanical. It needs occasional adjustment, cleaning, parts replaced.
But I has to be able to go for days at a time... otherwise the big print space is wasted.

    It has no "duty cycle"

Good to know. I've read up on seasoning and lubrication so I'm sure I'll get to those in due time, I was just worried as I've gathered up a sizeable stockpile, hahaha.
