got set up, everything move fine manually

load STL, slice everything looks fine

hit run tells me the time to print, print head goes to home, moves up the correct move distance,

starts feeding filament but head never moves, taskbar says printing but clock does not count down, just sits there melting plastic.

checked all the settings, reloaded the software shut down and started up tried 5 different files .Ran some code I think came with the software called
"test code.gco and head moved followed print path but filament did not extrude (actually stepper ran very slow so some plastic came out but not enough to print)

    Win 7
    ABS
all setting seem exactly like RoBo training video.

anyone have any idea where to start?

Have you tried slicing another file to see if slicer just had a bug on that file?

Are you able to control the printer via the manual tab?

thanks for the responses, I tried a number of different models all acted the same, all axis move manually fine. I switch to Cura software this morning and everything worked fine.

Would still like to try and use the Repetier looks like it has a little more adjustments but for the time being guess I will stick with what works

Did have a problem where on one part two layers did not stick to each other all the way across the part, any idea what might cause that?

    Probably needs more heat.

Try updating slic3r. you can download and unzip latest, then in repetier go to the setup button on the slicing tab and point it at the new exe.

No, extruder heat. The plastic needs to melt together and not just lay on the next.

I'm set on 220 now, would you expect that I need to run hotter than that. Guess the number does not really matter just, try more, what is considered a big change on something like that.

Thanks for your input, forums is really shortening my learning curve.
