I received the printer on Monday and finally managed to check and fiddle with it. Upon checking, I noticed that the Z-axis limit switch's smooth rod support (the plastic part holding the smooth metal rod for the z-sensor to the structure) broke, probably during transport. The break was a clean break and the part screwed into the structure still has a hole which the metal rod could fit snugly into, so thankfully everything still works fine.

I just managed to find a 3D file for the part from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:199407) so I will be printing this part out as a backup.
