spurs to ride your robot side saddle

admittedly the hobbed bolt included with the extruder is kind of shoddy.
any experience with alternative extruder bolts, i am considering a spur solution and notice no one seems to do that even though it seems like it makes a lot more sense, as their are fewer teeth, the teeth are larger, and the few videos I've seen of them seem to work pretty well. does anyone have more experience with them and understand the reason?



does everyone know where the word shoddy comes from? shoddy was repurposed wool mungo, by a company that produced uniforms for the yankees during the war of northern aggression against the confederated states of america. The uniforms were expensive yet made using glue and lint, and looked wonderful until they got wet and melted off the troops leaving thousands of soldiers in their underwear on the way to dixie.
