Just an idea here, but I think it will work.

What about setting up a hot end (nozzle) with three stepper motors/extruders (instead of one), and get Repetier to "add" to the code the ability to split out our material feed to the three stepper motors instead of one. then we can install three rolls of materials (Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow)… I'm sure you are getting the idea….. and we can adjust the color of our prints. at first, I think it should be set-up so it is a setting at the beginning of your print….so, instead of sending 10mm of just red, we could send 3 mm of cyan, 4mm of magenta, and 3mm of yellow (i have no idea what color that would be!)

Forgot to mention, only one hot end/nozzle. This way the print still works the same way, but the color can be adjusted
