    Printer: ABS+PLA Fully assembled
    Computer: Windows XP
    Repetier: 0.90c

I have everything configured like in the getting started guide, but when I go to manually test the axes, it says "Printer Stopped Due To Errors". The motors buzz a bit when first connected, so I think communication is working.

Because others had their printer not work until homed, I pressed the home button -- this caused all axes to move, except it seems that the z limit switch didn't work -- I pressed the e-stop after it bottomed out and kept moving...

    So... now what?
Is there an advanced checkout procedure (for the kits) that will show me how to test the limit switches, etc?

Should I have to home before manual control (I understand homing before printing)?

The spot of filamnet with my printer -- is it abs or PLA?

    Thanks,
    Thor

Ok. No motion was because the extruder temp cable was disconnected.
Fail to Home was because the home depth screw wasn't down far enough to press the switch when the extruder contaced the bed.

Robo3D - You might want to put those tips (check extruder temp at least) in the getting started guide before manual motion tests.
    Continuing on...
