Solved Z axis uneven pressed home and went to the heavens

So just got this new printer. (not new to 3d printing however new to mattercontrol). I watched the video and saw they were moving it with the movement buttons. I then clicked the home button and the z axis kept going up and did not stop I had to pull the usb cable to make it stop since it was making some nasty noises. I pluged it back in and moved the z axis down and this is what happened to it now. Is this a easy fix or should I just return it and get another one?

 

I fixed it and fell kind of dumb. But its late so its expected after all those filament fumes lol. I did not realize that the z axis had independent stepper motors (genius I might add). So i just hand screwed down the right side until it was even across, printed a calibration box and everything is working again.
