I have gone through z axis set up many times, bed leveling.<br />
<br />
Prints come out very nice if positioned on the edge of the bed. Larger prints or printing in center the bed actually lowers and the filament doesn&#039;t stick.<br />
<br />
I use Cura to slice and also sliced on board the Robo 2, same result.<br />
<br />
I&#039;ve replaced the bed surface, but clearly the z axis lowers during print.<br />
<br />
Help!

The vertical plastic block that the stepper and gears are attached to seems to have a loose connection to the horizontal top of the assembly (also, why does the last screw of every part need to be behind another part?).       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I began to print a larger object.  The extruder would start to skip steps at so time into the print.   I found as the temp went up it failed earlier and as the speed went down it failed earlier.  I posited that the filament was probably flowing out of the print head faster than the feed speed causing too much build up of plastic.<br />

I brought the speed way up and now was printing perfectly, with the exception of some ringing in the print.<br />

Just checked and all of the gears seem tight, they&#039;re just friction fit with the set screws on the rods, correct? I did notice one of the sliders looks like it&#039;s separated at the snap-together underneath, but everything still seems to be sliding smoothly (not sure where i&#039;d get a replacement anyway). <br />

Any suggestions? Trying to reduce speed and see if I can make it through the current items to print,...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[When I try to print, the nozzle does its usual calibration scan by moving around the bed. When the nozzle is in the rear right corner of the bed, the bed rises up too high into the nozzle and the extruder moves in a diagonal line from rear right to front left causing the nozzle to scratch the bed.<br />

I have tried everything Robo support has suggested. Firmware update, replacing SD card, gantry alignment, cleaning the IR light. But nothing has solved the issue. It does this with all the gcode...<br />

Now when it tries to print, the plate goes down instead of up to calibrate before a print when it’s already at the very bottom of the printer. Then the extender tries the calibration run mid air and not on the plate. The calibration movement goes through very quickly instead of slowly like usual. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have been rehabbing my old R2, and its back to working, which is exciting. It seems like there is a gcode header baked into the firmware or something though that does a purge line and then waits for temps to normalize.  <br />

Is there any way to modify this? There is a stage where it&#039;s waiting for the bed to heat and holding the hotend at purge temperatures, just oozing garbage and not extruding to compensate, leaving a blob and thin extrusion both at the start of prints. So far it has only...<br />

I have the black screen problem on BOTH of my R2s. I followed the black screen troubleshooting post and got nowhere. What I see now on the screen is a prompt for login info (see file).<br />

One of the printers had a slight chatter for lack of a better word on the prints.  Still shippable but not quite as good as the other printer.  The chatter printer all of a sudden seized in the Z stepper, it took out the stepper driver and the system board.  I use the Znuts that are two parts with a spring between.   I use the Partsbuilt board and could just swap out the parts.<br />

I level the bed with a  gauge clipped on to the print head and could even see the dip in the center of the bed.  I got good printing results and never gave it a second thought.<br />
