    Hello All,
My extruder stepper motor does not seem to want to spin.
when i try to advance it i feel vibration but wont spin. I made sure the nozzle was heated first before it try to spin it. I had this problem before and i had it solved by swapping the plug with like the y axis then putting it back.
This time it wont move. but i feel a vibration. I swapped it out again don't move just a vibration. I then got a new stepper motor it spun in the y axis but when i plugged it where it suppose to it just had a vibration and didn't spin.
I am wondering if the torque is off? do i need to adjust the torque? if i do how in the world do i do that??
I'm a little smart on the printer but not to that point. Any ideas? Thank you all for your time.

Stepper driver card is probably bad. If not then the RAMPS itself is bad.

This is a picture of the RAMPS board with the drivers installed (the small cards on top):

This diagram shows you which one controls which stepper. You are concerned with the one for the extruder 1:

The stepper motor is fine but you probably need one of these:

The one for the extruder needs to be replaced

Hello Mark i just ran into a few new problems
i took out the driver off the mother board for the extruder and i had put it back in and it works now. But!
now my Z axis and my Y axis don't move or hardly move. i think i messed up. when i took off all the drivers at first i saw a small screw.
I thought thast how they were installed and turned it. then i realized thats not what was holding them down. and figured out they just pop on and off. what should i do?
I did order 5 new drivers and i have them now. should i remove the ones i have and put in new ones? or unplug the drivers and cables and plug em back in?

Me? I would just put the new ones in and throw away the one you "tweaked"

They are not expensive and not worth the time to fiddle with (to me)
