Yup. They are JST on the motor end. $10 for a 460 pc kit of 2/3/4/5/6 pin...Cool. Now if I could find a 16 pin Molex for my icemaker.....lol

Now I need to take the hot end out. How do I do that. I'm talking the heat sink and all the nossle is stuck in it. I unscrewd the little bolt all the way and it won't budge?

There are two screws on the side of the extruder (not the hotend, the plastic extruder frame) where the hotend mates up into the carriage on the beta units. Both of those screws have to be removed and then the hotend will drop on the bed.

They are long (really long) 3mm screws. Sadly they are phillips head and easy to strip. I replaced mine with hex head screws.

The Beta and R1 have two long screws that thread into the side of the GregsWade extruder feed to hold the hotend in place.
The R1+ uses a sliding plate that has screws on the bottom of the GregsWade. You remove/loosen the one screw and slide the plate out.

In both cases once you have it loose it will fall out onto the bed.

Find the hotend and look straight up on the side of the extruder from where it slips into the chassis. You will find the two (M3) phillips head screws (if it is a beta or R1).

P.S. it is a DIRECT extruder, not bowden and is specifically a GregsWade.

What way is that little fan supposed to blow? Is it supposed to blow on the hat sink or other way around? I.e. Should I see the silver label or not?
