Answered cant get old filiment out of hot end to feed new spool

    ran out of filiment during a print. Tried to remove the filament while it was hot but it would not budge. It broke off and now it is fed too far in and I can't even grab it anymore and feeding the new filament in will not push it out? any help appreciated

    ok i tried the guitar string method to push it back up and with the filiment latch fully open i can grab it with my needlenose but its resistant and wont come out still. any thoughts? its heated to 210c already, should come right out

    Same suggestion I had originally.
    You may need some force to pull it out, the plastic only melts in the last bit of the heater block. If it was melting above the heat break then you have other issues (like a bad fan on the hotend itself). That is called heat creep...
