Seem to be having the same issue.
R2 printer only works on Y axis. Nothing on X.
I have tried everything Ed suggested but the problem seems to persist.
I have noticed that when I try to move the X axis a yellow light is flashing on the board when I have raised the bed and remove the panel. So it seems that the board is actually working.
Pulleys are tight and belt is in position.

It is becoming such a disappointment after having the idea that it can work straight out of the box.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue ?

Contact Robo support. Unfortunately none of us Mods or Admins have a R2 so we have no way to trouble shoot with you other than the usual check the wiring to the motor and belt/set screws on timing pulleys. If all that checks out you'll need to get ahold of Robo.

Also just to check go into octoprint run a m114 command in terminal see what it shows the X axis is at then try moving it and run the command again and see if changes. That could at least tell you if the board thinks that it is moving X axis when its really not.
