    **Just got my printer**
    So like the title says im trying to set the Z offset
    i use the code M565 Z-1.1 like in the "Novice Expert" Youtube video
    and when i do G28 or G29 the head just keeps touching the bed like if it didn't take the M565 command

    What is your startup GCode block. Paste it in here. Probably a simple fix

    (also, maybe mention which printer it is)

    Yeah i have the R1 + and i think i have it figured out:
    G1 E-0.4
    G28;
    M565 Z-1.2
    G29;

    But i do have one issues idk if its just me but does the extruder always a bit loud when retracting?

    As long as it is after the last G28 and before the G29 you are good.
