3D printed NYC

Hi,

I used my own files to 3d print a map of Midtown New York City. The buildings in these files are quite detailed and are not simply plain cubes. Actually, almost all of the nuances are visible. I hope, you guys like it.

 

What are the settings in your slicer? How did you convert the photo into a printable file?

 

Hi, I used 0,2mm layer, infill of 15% and a grid fill patern.

I did not turn a photo intoa printable stl file. I found nyc city data and added lots of new buildings to it, which were build in the meantime.

I decided to put my files on etsy. So, if you want to print it as well, you can search for maptogram on etsy.

 

Is it one piece or multiple pieces on the same board?

 

It consists of 16 tiles, which were glued on the board.
