Mr UPS Kindly dropped off a brand new R1 plus. About an hour ago!!!
The OBE was exceptional...very plug and play.
Based my limited knowledge and from reading here there seem to be some upgrades.
    1. White LED's
    2. Z axis smooth rods are supported by top case
    3. There is a filament feeder in the slot.
    4. The SD slot/Card is full size.
    5. Has silicone rubber feet on the corners to lift it up a bit.
Obviously the OEM has been listening to the comments here
Printer shipped with MC 1.3, I had already d/L'd 1.4 for mac so went with that. Set up was smooth with 1 reboot to get the drivers to take.
Prepped the bed (they provide a stick of elmers) and printed the test circle.
Looked a bit odd on one side so I stopped and checked things out. Turns out the right hand z axis rod had popped out of of its holder during shipping. 2 screws and it was back in and 2nd time was a charm. Had to adjust the z axis offset up a bit but this can be done in the software (macros) now so no need for code (so far any way). I am loving the auto bed leveling !!!
Even loading filament was not too bad... did not have to poke around at all. As someone else noted saw a little bit of red come out before the blue came through.
Currently printing test cube and so far it looks excellent!!
I am a relative newbie at this stuff so this has been easy.
    Thanks ROBO3D !!

them self leveling connectors are well known to fall off when shipped,
i could never get my SD card for wireless to work in the slicer called MatterControl
but then again i think you have to have the cable connected then use the SD with no cable,
im not sure but i think you have to do that every time, sooooo i dont see where the point in being wireless when you have to plug the cable in each time.
i herd the SD for MatterControl is not supported so im guessing i have to plug the cable in each time,
there is no way i can test it to see

dont drop the SD card inside the printer because it can easily be done.
my printer was set on the ground and its hard to bend over and look in the slot and a pain to tip the printer up to place the SD Card,
i had to move the printer.
the SD Card should be in front,
or make it where the SD Card can't fall inside the printer,
still waiting for wireless, to much money to for a wirelesss SD card at the store.

Using the SD card I Think you can set it off with the laptop then disconnect.
Just getting to the end of a 3 hour print of a spur gear for a training demo.
Flawless so far. Amazing right out of the box
