For some reason I cannot account for, I am getting this error on the LCD screen (I'm using the RepRap XXL lcd controller).
    err: TEMP FALL ERROR

I have grepped for this error in the robo3d firmware source code, and it does not appear anywhere. I have searched for "FALL" and it does not appear anywhere.

    Any ideas?

What temperature does this occur at (or is it random)?

Any temperature, and it happens within seconds of the print starting.

Is it FALL or FAIL? I agree, I can't see anything out there. Maybe @Printed Solid or someone who has used the LCD screens more can help.

FALL, not 'FAIL'. I checked numerous times, but it definitely says "FALL". Weird.

Temp fall is when the temp changes more than like 10 degrees rapidly.

Usually it indicates a loose thermistor (jumping to 0) or a short (jumping to 300")

What does your temp curve look like?

Mike, that is precisely what it was. After posting this, I removed the print head and checked the thermistor seating. It was loose. I reapplied the adhesive and the problem is gone (I've just finished testing). Thanks for getting back to me though!

Agreed. Thanks Mike. @Island Bill there are thread in thermistors that you can upgrade to if you don't like the way it's sitting in there with the adhesive.

Hey guys, I believe I am running into the same issue. Can anyone point me in the direction to reattach the thermistor properly? What adhesive did you use?

I prefer kapton tape, but High Temp RTV silicone also works well
