    Hi Guys,
Just took in my new Robo R1+ from amazon today, unpacked it and setup according to the instructions. Problem is the Extruder is not working at all. Its not heating up. The bed is heating and everything seems to work just fine but the extruder is not responding to the matter control software.

I was really looking forward to playing with this today.....just unlucky i guess!!!

Any ideas before I send it back.....

    Thanks
    TIM

Any errors in the console log?
Not a MC user myself, but this might help:

    http://wiki.mattercontrol.com/Options/G-Code_Terminal

Scroll all the way back to make sure you see any errors.
If you can't find anything since you got it from Amazon (good move) I would get it replaced under warranty.

flip the machine over. unscrew the screws that holdon the plate. Check to make sure the connector is plugged in T0. Also make sure that the two cloth covered wires are also screwed into the board. If all looks good with that also check the connectors at the extruder itself.

    HI,
    Thanks for the answers.
It seems that the connector underneath the machine had fallen out as you mentioned.

Once I reseated the connector all is working ok.

    Thanks again

Its annoying that that kinda thing happens on new printers ( one of mine had a similar thing ).

    Glad you got it working.

Shipping is the biggest demon there is and man are these printers delicate when being moved lol, I took my ditto and the robo to a jr high for a 3d printing class (my little sisters school teaches about printers but doesn't have one) the ditto made it fine the robo needed some love after transport.... That was 7 miles lol.

Well in my case a wire wasn't screwed down on the power supply..thats not coming off from shipping had it been assembled properly.
