ok, now I know how to paper level, but can you do that on a R1? I didn't think there was any bed adjustment screws, etc.

Also, I took the opportunity to open up the bottom plate and look at the board, a heat sink came loose of the X-axis board, and I re-attached that with some thermal glue. Any chance that would be causing the issue, and if so what else can I do?

Lift the bed after the print, try to reline the magnetic bed.

What your doing is bronging the nozzle close to the bed to where a piece of paper fits under it. Then move the head across the bed and see how the paper feels under the nozzle. If it feels loose or tighter than you hold the other threaded rod and turn the problem side threaded rod (machine turned off) until it feels the same. Youll have to go back and forth sides a few times to get it perfect.

Ok, here's some video, and a pic of how the print looks on the bed, working leveling the bed now

Can you hear it kind of thumping as it moves?

Ok, did a paper level on the bed, and it prints more towards the middle of the bed now, but it keeps dragging sideways as it prints

The print/filament, as it prints it starts moving sideways, leaving a trail like so

    Some more pics

It sounds like its either to close to the bed (the nozzle) or you have a mechanical binding. Belts or wires. Can you verify the nozzle is not on the bed ?

Is the bed moving back and forth like it should? And is the x jumping while its printing. I cant see it in the video but it should be fairly easy to see in person(if the carriage is jumping). Could you share some pictures of all of your switches on the x axis please

Give me a moment on the switch pics, I was just about to do that, but yes, it is jumping, let me see if I can video that, it shows most after I cancel a print and it's moving back to home

Ok so now youll want to check the pulleys on the steppers. Are the set screws tight ? To mimic printing you can turn off the printer and slide the x carriage back and forth quickly

Those switches are plugged in right.
The video is hard to see anything happening.
Jumping though would be a belt issue or an obstruction of some sort.

Well, it looks like it's working, All I did was re-plug the fan in on the board underneath

It just occurred to me that jumping could be a stepper driver issue, but let's see if you have it working :)

Hijacking my own thread. Since we're on bed leveling, any suggestions for adjusting the level of the center is high? I've "paper checked" it a few times, and always get the far end of y-axis travel (left to right) even, but it's always high in the center. Thought about adding magnets to the center holes under the build plate, but not sure that would help.

The center is high? Sounds like uneven glass if thats the case. I imagine all magnets are sitting correctly? Typically i suggest shimming the bed under the magnets but if the sides are good and center is bad.... :(

If just the center is high the bed leveling should at least partially account for it (since there are center points sampled).

Glass can be uneven. You just won't be able to manually level it completely.
