    Also, do not trust that the wire colors have any meaning. They are not consistent.
    You need to be clear what you mean by the " blue/gray wires" -- what do they go to?

    I think your blue and gray are leds? If that is correct you can wire directly to 12v input and avoid buying new connectors. Can you verify if this is an r1+ or r1 printer ?

    This is a video of the new ramps Fans and LED work until you attempt to preheat extruder and bed. Then the fans and lights cut off. I can still not

    I will have to get back to you tomorrow when i have access to my other boards.

    If you read through my conversion thread it will tell you where each connection is. Just ignore where it converts to the generic ramps through the thread

    This is how my r1+ was hooked up. On the board you see writing. Fan 1 is the little fan that blows.on the board. Fan 2 is parts cooling fan. Led (both slots) are for your leds. F0 is hotend fan and runs all the time when power is on.

    In my pictures above the top picture has f0, the bottom picture has your other connections

    You will need to verify those blue and gray wires are the leds. In your video they are not hooked up.correctly and could be causing you issues.

    I figured out my electrical problem was that the bed and extruder power were wrong and swapped it around and it worked fine.

    But I am back to where I was two threads ago. My extruder stepper is is not turning freely after a new RAMPS even swapping it with the X axis

    I am considering getting a new stepper motor now and Robo 1 sells them for 38 dollars with shipping while you can get one for 14 on Amazon. Would one of those work?

    I haven't tried to adjust voltage on the new RAMPS Should I try that before buying a new motor?

    Swap the extruder motor with the x motor on the board. Does the problem follow ?

    If it is confirmed to be the stepper then ... As long as it is a NEMA 17 you should be fine.
    Just make sure you get the specs (step angle/steps-per-mm) so that you can make sure the firmware is correct:

    #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,2267.72,723.38} // default steps per unit for RoBo 3D R1

    in that list -> {X, Y, Z, Extruder}

    You could always experiment to get a really close guess for the steps/mm, but better to know :)

    Last set of steppers I got from Amazon (cheap) had all the specs so I could go to the rep-rap calculator page and sort it all out.

    So the x now is the extruder command and it doesnt work correctly? But when you press x commands the extruder motor is fine ?
