Sounds like the slicer fell down.

It means the slicer failed to slice it.

    What slicer are you using?
And also if you would like to share an stl so we can verify that it's not a problem in the model (by slicing it on our end)

-Try slicing it again (maybe tweak the settings)
    -Try another slicer.

And like @TomerO asked -- what slicer are you currently using?

Most slicers can stub their toe (even on a good model) if the slicer settings don't make sense for the model. (If, for example, you had walls <0.4mm with a 0.4mm nozzle -- a very gross example, but you get the idea.)

That sounds like matter control. Rotate the part 90 degrees. I dont know why it helped but when i used matter control 50% of my models did that, rotate and good to go

It was so frustrating lol. Load the model 10 times always a1 sec print fail...rotate and it would print....man I love not having those issues anymore

Hey guys thanks for having me, I'm new at everything and I have the same problem but rotating doesn't work. I have Matter Control 1.5 and my file was created from blender and when I brought it in to print it was very very small. any advice? should I post in a different robo forum? Thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome. Ill be totally honest matter control is glicthy and pretty much crap. It fails way to often. If rotating and reslicing doesnt help id suggest you try a different slicer :)

Cura, slic3r, etc. Not the options in matter control but the actual host program.

I ditched matter control when the rotating didnt help. I wish i could help further but that was my only trick before getting fed up and buying a slicer.

Wait... You mean prints are supposed to take longer than 1 second? I think you guys all have broken printers.

This is a subtle, but simple problem to fix.

The slicers (MatterControl, Repetierhost, even Simplify3D) assume the units of the model are metric (STL files do not contain a definition of what units they were modeled in). So, when you import a model done in SAE (English) units.... it is really, really tiny (25.4x too small)

Change the units in the model (re-export the STL afterwards) or in the slicer.

You can cheat and scale the model in the slicer by 25.4
