    Hello Robo3D forums,

In need of your help and guidance when it comes to calibrating my robo 3d printer correctly.

I have tried configuring the bed myself (paper resistance etc) still no luck.

What appears to be the issue? Also what information do you need from me? i am more than willing to provide.

I use Matter control, with slic3r engine.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Something is wrong with the Y axis or that slicer has lost its mind.

Any idea or clue as to how to problem solve or how to properly fix the y axis?

Lift up the bed and take a look at the belt. Make sure everything is still attached and moving properly (slide the rails back and forth).
If the bed is fine mechanically then you need to check out the stepper motor and electronic bits.

Well, as we could tell from the print :)
Your Y axis is not moving.
If you use manual controls in your software does it move back and forth correctly?

OK, then try another slicer/printer program. If you are using MatterControl try Cura or Repetier host.

When you run a G28 command (or when you start a job), does it home all of the axes? Does the Auto-Level (G29) work correctly, when a new print is started?

    Hey Ryan,

Thanks for your input. When i do run a job it does home all the axis (i placed the axis in the middle/up/down etc and hit run and it moved it back to original position.)

As for the Auto-Level (G29), i removed code "G29 ; probe the bed" as i had to configure the auto level bed manually (put a piece of paper in between the extruder etc etc). The reason i configured the bed myself is, before this print job, the printer would print a 1inch or so above the bed. Once i manually configured the bed, i am now left with what is shown in the images. Which is a improvement from using the auto bed G29 ; probe the bed.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions? Do i need to get ride of the manual configure i did for the bed?

    Thank you

The paper level gets the X-Axis very close to level. Which then makes the Auto-level more accurate when its probing the bed. If you are randomly noticing the Y-Axis does not move (like the video), then I would check your Stepper Drivers as the Y Driver may be failing, slowly.

Thanks everyone for your help. Was able to figure it out. Im just a noob and didn't double check the bed movement as the belt was as loose as can be.

But now that i have printed a few calibration circles, every time i go to print another one i have to adjust the "Z- Axis" to ensure the proper first layer print. The print head always seems to high. I configured the automatic print bed manually.
I do turn off the printer and disconnect it from my computer from time to time.

Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thank you

What do you mean adjust? If it's to far off the bed recheck your z offset

In addition to what @Geof suggested make sure the Z axis switches are properly positioned or that will make you initial height off simply because the printer has a false Z home.
