Ultimate Hardware Upgrades

    Ok so you know how the Z Axis stepper motors are bolted under that black plate? If you have a way to relocate those motors above (assuming you have the upgraded motors with the lead screw prebuilt on them without couplers) without hitting things around, it could add maybe less than an inch or so to the Z axis (if i even made some sense here). Though I could be wrong on this part.

    Following you now but I think the steppers are physically to tall(they would be to high off the bed the extruder couldn't get low enough

    Yeah I had that in mind. I'm thinking of making a custom mount for it maybe but I think its possible. Although, the extruder assembly needs to be re-configured to a direct drive. I think I might start on that one.

    Another thing though. Will the micro mechanical switch in the store be restocked soon? If not then what would you guys recommend to get forcthe three limit switch?

    They have the microswitches on Amazon :). Open source is awesome. I think their pretty cheap

    Omg that thing is tall. Did he just modded the Z-Axis? Ill definitely look at this.

    Just look up the D-Bot on thingiverse if you want to roll your own printer.
