    Hey guys,
I have an E3D hotend installed. I have done a lot of messing around with my printer and now i cannot get my hotend installed tight as the shaft that the screws press against has become worn.
Any ideas on how to get this tightened up? I was going to wrap the shaft with teflon tape to see if that would work.
If anyone has a better idea please let me know.
    Thanks

I don't have a picture but I have marked where the wear is located on this stock photo of the hot end. Basically where the 2 x M3 screws hot the hotend in place.

    Is this an r1?

Edit: teflon tape, tape, new screws if the old ones are worn down would all work. The r1+ uses a quick release that you can upgrade to. I think @danzca6 has done this on his set up

Yeah it's an r1. I did replace the screws with philips head ones as the hex screws started to thread. I will use Teflon around the worn area. Thanks for that

You say your E3DV6 hotend is loose, just keep turning it to the right. hahaha. Seariously, get the quick release and forget about the screws going into the side of the hotend. Much easier to change the hotend out when you need to service it. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1192896

Will this work on the non-plus model?

Yes it will. You will just need to buy a longer bolt. I think 25mm.

Thanks for that. For now I wrapped the heat sink with teflon tape and now it is rock solid.
There are a few upgrades I want so I will add that to the list.

I also have the dual part fan mount so I actually just bought 2 M4-25mm Pan Head Phillips bolts. Also I did print a round spacer with a hole in the middle to fill the void from the top of the hotend and the top of the hole in the gregs wade to help with guiding the filament. Just needs to be a hair shorter than the thickness of the quick release plate. Not sure if the R1+ had a spacer or if they just redesigned the gregs wade mold. I figure they did a spacer if anything.
