I bought new hexagon hotend kit and it worked fine until I kept smelling a burning smell. I noticed the heatsink probably wasn't tightened all the way into the heatblock, so I unscrewed it, cleaned it, and screwed them together while hot to fix it. After this the heatsink can spin freely, even though I tighten the small black screw in the side of it... why is this/how do I fix it ? and will this affect my prints?

    Will it affect your prints?
    Most likely.

You can check out an assembly video :

and get some ideas on how it goes together, but...

The hexagon is not easily repairable (in that they do not sell parts). If you have stripped the screw or if something else is wrong with it your only real option is to buy another. The good news (if you want to call it that) is the hexagon is not expensive.

Thanks for the response! It seems so far to not really affect my prints, but as soon as I see anything wrong happening, I'm just gonna buy a new one.
