I started an over night print that was only a few hours long but when I saw it this morning it had a massive glob of filamint around the extruder including the wiring on the side. When I was removing it one of the wires was disconnected. Is there anyway of fixing this or am I better off buying a new extruder.

looks like the wire for your thermistor is broken. You cannot use the printer (dont turn it on, you could ruin your control boards). You dont need a whole new hotend, just the thermistor. If its a stock hexagon and your under warranty ask robo to send you a few and simply say it broke:D. Their pretty good about spare parts.

I broke my thermister wire too early on (more than once) and called Robo and told them "I BROKE THEM" and they still sent me a few no charge under warranty.
