    Hi.

    When i start print my first layer comes out very nicely but when the printer starts the 2nd layer it looks pretty messy on some points at the middle of the layer. after finishing 2nd layer and moving to third the problem is gone and print is doing fine again. Im printing first layer at 195c and others at 185. I noticed that when printer goes from 1st layer to 2nd and decreases the temperature it drops too much. Temperature goes to 180-182c and then very soon rises back to 185. Is this normal and can it be causing the problem?

    Thanks for help in advance!

    So a quick check to see if it is temperature related would be for you to print all layers at 195.
    Or set second layer to 190 (rather than 185).

    You are seeing some overshoot on the temperature, normal if it does not last too long (but things might get better by avoiding it).

    There is a sweet spot (temperature wise) that varies among filament (humidity and other factors no doubt also make a difference).

    This happens on 2nd layer. after that if i keep printing it will dissapear in to the print as all other layers are coming out fine. I will try printing all layers on 195 and see if it gets better.

    Could this be a levelling issue since it on one side?

    Looks like the filament is not low enough to stick or make a bead. Raised.

    I have the same kind of issue, I have checked the level and it is fine. I have been playing around a lot with slic3r settings to see if I can get around this issue. once I have something that works I will let you know.

    Stuff like this work great tho (yes I know it is a much smaller object)

    --- Update ---

    on layer 3 no issues:

    new slic3r setting:

    infill -> Fill density -> .4
    infill -> Fill pattern -> honeycomb

    solid layers -> top 1, bottom 1.

    Hope this helps ...
