Is this normal? This has been the case since I got this unit a few months ago. I tried making some minor adjustments but ultimately the harness and belt always end up smacking into each other.. a lot.

When this happens the belt rolls/twists. This can't be right?

Or put the belt tensioner on the run between the carriage and the pulley

Could you shoot me a photo explaining that? This would require me removing the belt I assume, which worries me as I'll probably screw something up and have worse printer :)

PS I really dont think I ever got the paper. I looked through the documentation that came in my printer box. I dont suppose theres anyway to determine it now right?

I can pull it away but it always settles back. Thanks for the link I'm printing it right now! I really like the idea of using something like this as it forces all of the movement into the main trunk of the harness instead of having all of the movement and thus wear over time in the end of the wires where they terminate. I think this will prove better over time.

It's on really tight I dont know how to properly remove it while the belt is still on. But you're probably right I had considered moving it. I think even flipping it up side down in its current spot would improve this.

Regarding the printed part you provided it certainly takes care of this issue but introduces another. Theres too much wire bunching to the side so now it interferes with x? axis stop point. I'll have to mess around with it but I like that part a lot. You might want to update the thingiverse description as it looks like you have the clipping on issue solved.

Not my part. You should be able to stuff all the slack in the tubing
