When I print something that has to bridge (even as little as 1cm) the first few layers droop in individual strings. It's not like the whole layer collectively droops but the individual strands all droop differently. This happens for about 5 or so layers. My current temp is 203, and the bridging speed is 60mm/s. What settings could I change to correct this?

You could try decrease the temperature. the bridging is due to the layer still being liquid when it is put down. Do you have an active part cooling fan

I do have an active cooling fan. Would slowing down or speeding up the bridging also help?

speeding up should help but is it making diagonal lines instead of shooting straight across when bridging

For bridging as @Soupaboy said faster is better and make sure the parts cooling fan is at 100%.

    Its shooting straight across.

Also, make sure you are not running too hot. Obviously hotter takes longer to cool and if you are too hot then the parts fan may not be able to cool it quick enough to prevent a droop.

So maybe turn down to 195 for the temp? And for the bridging speed turn up from 60 to 80?

Those are both good ideas, and I would add, make sure that the fan is at 100% when bridging.
