cable drive corexy macro size printer

    So ive been chipping away at a project and its just about time for the first reveal. It started out as a techtronix plotter however I've pretty much gutted everything but the frame and the y bar. It started out cable drive (not corexy) so ive been able to re purpose many parts, others were either machined or printed.

    The print area winds up being 18" x 24" x 24"

    Im planning on building a heated chamber for it to reduce warping on very large parts.

    Drive is working beautiful, no lash, no friction. Using an industrial controller I can get accurate 200mm /s moves using 24v. Still having problems getting the ramps board to handle that kind of speed though. It seems to run out of cycles on multi axis moves at 200mm/s

    Interesting, Electro. The printer is looking good, but I'm concerned about the Fiero Chiltons below it. Do you need an intervention?
