Solved Chimera/Cyclops vs dual E3Dv6 Hotends

    I like it. It's simple easy to print and looks nice. I printed it from clear PETG and put a blue led in each one and the extruder that is active lights up making the gears look awesome.

    I have 2 of their 8mm bore drive gears. 0 issues with them at all. I would suggest geared steppers as well. Lots more options for extruders that way,

    My way was much cheaper lol those mk8 work amazing and all hardware including motor cost about $29 for both extruders

    If i started to tally it all up I'd end up in a ball in the corner. I have one of the very first kickstarter prints (I believe it was one of the first like 10 to go out). The case, x carriage assembly, and main electronics board are the only original stock things still being used haha. I've gone through a number of hot ends and before they released the upgrade for the Y axis I had made up my own which was then swapped out once the kit was in beta.

    The geared steppers are the way to go like I said. It is expensive at first yes. But them you aren't limited with your extruder setup.
