Does any one know how to set up a virtual Com port within windows 8 to run my robo? I am having trouble finding directions online as to how to set this up.

In order to install the serial driver in Win 8 you need to first disable driver signature enforcement. You can find step by step directions on how to do this by doing a Google search using the following link: https://www.google.com/#q=how+to+disable+driver+signature+enforcement+windows+8
Follow the directions, then install the serial driver referred to in the Robo User Guide Chapter 3:
    http://pjrc.com/teensy/ serial_install.exe
Once it is installed reboot and you should be ready to run.

It took me a couple times to get it right, so read the directions carefully.
I do not have my printer yet so I have not been able to verify that it works, so let me know if you get it working. Hopefully Win 8.1 will supports 3d serial printing, without having to install a 3rd party driver.

Hi gents - just for future hassle avoidance the link above and the link on the documentation includes a space which should be omitted on order to DL the driver. Here's the correct link:
    http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/serial_install.exe

Thanks for the corrected link, I just copied the original link from the Robo "Getting Started Manual" and it worked with Win 8 Explorer, but could caused problems with other web browsers.
